fashion/health/beauty & music/entertainment/sports

i enjoyed this colloquim best among all the colloquia that we had, may be because it is the most easygoing to my personality and i guess most of the girls i know. discussing with a lax way just made me feel not so urged attending the event. nonetheless, i agree and have learned from the discussion. we've gotten some tips about fashion, business, music, and some new easy exercises that helps alleviate fats, this really made me all ears to the speaker. moreso, the speakers were really acquianted with their topics, and as if they were really enjoying it.
fashion, as said in the forum, is perishable while style is eternal. I agree! it is most of the time that it is on how you carry yourself and not on what trend you are following 'cause not all that are in craze will complement you.

education, philosophy, literature..

At the Kapihan Lounge, at the P.S. building, of March 8 was held the colloquim about education, philosophy, and literature. In a bird's eye view, it was successful, speakers were patient in sharing their experiences in their field.

medicine

the held colloquim regarding medicine was informative enough to give us knowledge about their field. most of the time it also pays to know a little bit of everything so wherever you may be seated at, you canat the very least relate to such topic or may be in an actualization.
the field medicine is actually a tough thing to engage in, lives of multitude of people are on your hands-considering Him as the sumpreme.

yes, she's a mom and will always be..

just imagining myself from the time i was born till this very hour that i'm typing, i guess there will be no other person who has stayed, cared and loved me the way my mom does. she has been so patient in nurturing me. she has been there for me all through out. she listens when i need someone to listen to me, just listen to my cries. also, she has been my best friend. i love it when she appreciates me, kisses me before i go to bed and comes back to her when i have a bad dream. i am happy that the way we used to be when i was still a kid stayed the same until now, im proud of it! but its funny when she tries to flatter me or tells me that i am not so fat?! i have never gained weight in her eyes even if when i try to weigh myself and have gained pounds, still i am the best for mom. yes! that's how she is, a great mom! moms are moms, and will always be...

Campus Journalists May Try It, the Other way Around

Campus journalists should be more sensitive in addressing their grievances. As far as responsible journalism is concerned, they should undergo the proper way of letting their emotions out that they feel were locked for a thousand years in their weary bodies. They should be tactful enough in addressing their grievances to the individuals concerned for it will also yield to a greater possibility that their voices will be heard. Either ways, that is their primary aim, to voice out their grievances, isn’t it???

Personally, there are times wherein journalists are always on the right track but are not wise enough how to carry out their goals and voice out their concerns. I am not saying you should not stand for what is right, but sometimes we should be more cautious in doing what we want to do. We should take into considerations all of the possible consequences and probable implications of whatever information we are going to dissipate considering that these information are so crucial that they could actually make or break an individual or even an institution.

What I am trying to say is that we could actually voice out all of our concerns and get all of our aspirations to be realized if we would actually focus on it and do it in the right manner. It is just a matter of choosing the right words, right actions and right proceedings. We should be more responsible and be cautious/conscious enough to do things the right approach so as to assure that we would meet our ends without sacrificing our means…

Look On Its Brighter Side

I've never heard half as good as what a friend once said, "..if you're really beautiful in and out, smart and strong, no one can ever put you down, no matter how peolple try. Isn't it nice to hear such words from someone, simply makes a day really light. TRUE! Its a waste of time minding bad energies when you can actually make life more enjoyable by seeing the brighter side of it. While some hates you, some may also like or even love you so why bother when you're certain that you can't please everybody no matter how you try, that no matter how you try to cope with them, something's telling them that something isn't just fine..but what?? If concretized as to why, good for you but if its a feeling based, just cross your fingers! Smile, move on.. Yes, you might say that its easy to put into words and how about putting it into actions? That you're not from planet Mars but Earth. But hey! Haven't you gone a farther way of pleasing someone that you know will not just materialize? Happiness, laughter, success, all these have counterparts but nonetheless all part of what we call life. But whatever life brings, tatagal ka pa nga ba? Its really all up to you if you quit, or win the race. Nevertheless, you're actually investing up there, not on this perishable land.. I am not saying that we should take things for granted but just do yourself a favor.. Life is too short for things you really don't deserve..

Who Do We Want To Lead Us?

Monday, December 11, 2006

In our simple life, we may not notice it but we are already in the process of leadership; at home or even in school. Leadership may seem a BIG word to talk about or even as serious it may get into our nerves but if we think it through, it can be just as simple as we would want it to be if we do it with responsibility. What do we really like in a leader,as the youth of today? We are idealistic individuals. We idolize leaders whom we think meet our standards. We want a leader who is cheerful. This trait easily break the ice and because it is a reflection of optimism and pleasantness, we subconsciously think that it can also be a key to good leadership. And because a cheerful person is naturally friendly and approachable most of the time, it makes it a winning trait of a leader. A person with an interesting or impressive personality can motivate friends and followers to great effort. Howeveer, this must be supplemented with good work if one wishes to be at the top.We also look for a leader who is versatile and multi-talented, who can help us in our interests by providing enough opportunity.A leader who accepts defeat and failure with a smile is the leader that we've always wanted to have. A leader who tries to avoid arguments with others, instead shows diplomacy in his actions. One asset of a leader that can be looked up is when he knows how to control his temper even if the situation demands for the opposite. By being calm, he builds a positive image for himself and wins our confidence to lead us.Another trait that we expect in a leader is his responsible deeds. We often supervise what he does for us and how he is going on with the tasks assign to him. There may be so many qualities that we look for a leader and we even tend to perfectionists at so many instances but for as long as we participate, we move on and grow!
