Campus Journalists May Try It, the Other way Around

Campus journalists should be more sensitive in addressing their grievances. As far as responsible journalism is concerned, they should undergo the proper way of letting their emotions out that they feel were locked for a thousand years in their weary bodies. They should be tactful enough in addressing their grievances to the individuals concerned for it will also yield to a greater possibility that their voices will be heard. Either ways, that is their primary aim, to voice out their grievances, isn’t it???

Personally, there are times wherein journalists are always on the right track but are not wise enough how to carry out their goals and voice out their concerns. I am not saying you should not stand for what is right, but sometimes we should be more cautious in doing what we want to do. We should take into considerations all of the possible consequences and probable implications of whatever information we are going to dissipate considering that these information are so crucial that they could actually make or break an individual or even an institution.

What I am trying to say is that we could actually voice out all of our concerns and get all of our aspirations to be realized if we would actually focus on it and do it in the right manner. It is just a matter of choosing the right words, right actions and right proceedings. We should be more responsible and be cautious/conscious enough to do things the right approach so as to assure that we would meet our ends without sacrificing our means…

To be journalists it is their responsibility to inform the people whether the news is bad or good. To tell you the truth the student-writers are not very harsh in writing news and they are complaining because they are controlled to express the freedom of expression. Their articles are controlled by their Adviser thou it needs to be publish. Student-writers are not just writing their grievances, they are just aware that most of the population in the University has the same sentiments. They are just after the sentiments of the students. I know student-writers will not write an article if he/she thinks it is not true or if it will destroy the dignity of one person. The student-writers are aware of what to write and what to publish. I assumed that they will not become a writer if they are not responsible with their words.

Hi there! I agree with you that campus journalist should not be so harsh and hot in expressing their grievances. You know, actually I think they do not get anything out of being very harsh in expressing their sentiments. They are thinking that because of their press freedom, they could just be like what they want to become. They are sometimes forgetting that nothing is absolute in this world. Therefore, having this freedom does not give them the authority to just tell everything they wanted, especially in a not so good way. As journalists, they must know the very basics of the profession. To those who are doing this way, I suggest them to read first the Code of Ethics for them to be enlightened of what is ought to be performed. As a Mass Communication student, for us to become professional to our field, we must never forget that there will always be a better way that expressing our grievances in a harsh and hot way. I hope you will become a professional journalist someday who will practice wht you have learned in this university. Good luck to all your struggles.
